How much to ship my painting?
We substantially discount the packaging cost and shipping rates below our actual costs. Why ? Stretched paintings are large and couriers charge by the package size (dimensional weight) not the actual weight. For example a 24x36 painting weighs 5 lbs but the courier company charges us as if the painting was15 lbs !
So how much do we charge for Shipping ?
Our handling, packaging and shipping rates within Canada are from about $12 for a smaller painting up to about $40 for are largest paintings, except for remote areas and the North Territories.To The USA our shipping rates are from $5 to $10 more than Caadian rates, except for packages valued at more than $200 which have an additional $30 USA import brokerage fee built into the shipping cost.
How are the Oil Paintings shipped?
All art work is shipped by Canada Post or one of the major courier companies using ground service. For large orders, shipment by freight or by sea could be arranged according to clients' instruction. Since all our paintings are gallery wrapped they are carefully hand packed and shipped in a card board box sandwiched in packing foam or bubble wrap.
How long before you Ship the Painting?
Please check the paintings details page to confirm the shipping schedule for your painting. Artwork at our main warehouse and retail store will be shipped within 1 to 3 days and in 6 to 8 weeks forcustom order paintings.
How will I know when the oil painting is shipped?
We email the tracking number with a link to the couriers website so that you will know the approximate time of arrival.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery takes approximately 2 days to the Vancouver area and Victoria BC and 3-5 days for the rest of BC. Canada, outside of BC, takes from 4 to 7 days.
Deliveries to the USA take a little as 3 days to much of the west coast and range up to 7 days for the east coast.
Are there any Import Duties to the USA?
The US Customs does not usually impose import duties on hand painted oil on canvas paintings originating in Canada. If import duties are applied they are the responsiblity of the Buyer.
There is a $30 import brokerage fee for paintings valued over $200 which we include this brokerage fee in your shipping cost.
For other Countries, your packages may be subject to the customs fees and import duties. Packages will be marked as "Gift" where applicable, but the cost of the item will be still stated on the customs form as requested by customs authorities. Fees charged depend on different countries. Most countries don't impose duties on hand-painted oils on canvas. Check with your local authorities.
